Installation

Use this section to choose the right install path for your environment.

Before You Install

  1. Enable and link the My Media for Alexa skill in the Alexa app first.
  2. Confirm your server and Alexa devices are on the same local network.
  3. Keep TCP port 52051 available for the web console.

After Installation

For all platforms, finish setup in this order:

  1. Open the My Media Web Console at http://<server-ip>:52051.
  2. Complete pairing with your Amazon account in the setup flow.
  3. Add one or more Watch Folders so My Media can index your library.
  4. Test with a basic command like: "Alexa, open My Media."

Continue with Pairing and Watch Folders.
